Fluid PC (the “Software”) is developed and provided by Fluid PC / Nuellestech (“we”, “us”, or “Company”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By downloading, installing, activating, or using Fluid PC you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
1. Information we collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide, secure, and improve Fluid PC. This includes:
- Activation & license data: activation key, license type, activation timestamp, and minimal device identifiers used to validate license status and prevent abuse.
- Technical & diagnostic data: operating system version, installed software list (names, not file contents), hardware identifiers (CPU, RAM size), app crash reports, error logs, and performance telemetry (CPU, memory usage) — usually aggregated or pseudonymized.
- Usage data: which features are used and how often (to help prioritize improvements). This telemetry is optional in some cases and may be disabled via settings when offered in-app.
- Payment & billing information: when you purchase a license we receive purchase confirmation and billing metadata from our payment processors (for example, Paddle). We do not process credit card numbers directly — payment processors handle that information.
- Support & contact data: emails, support requests, and attachments you provide when contacting support.
2. How we use your information
We use data for the following purposes:
- Validate and manage license activation, seat counts, and renewals.
- Diagnose and fix bugs, improve performance and features, and analyze usage trends.
- Process purchases, refunds, and communications related to billing.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and detect or prevent fraud and abuse (including license circumvention).
3. Legal basis & consent
If you are located in jurisdictions that require a legal basis for processing (for example, the EU), our legal bases include:
- Performance of a contract — to deliver the Software and license services you purchase.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Software, detect fraud, and improve product stability and features (we balance these interests with user privacy).
- Consent — for optional telemetry and marketing communications where required; you can opt out where offered.
4. Third parties and service providers
We share data with trusted third parties who help us operate the Software and our business. These may include:
- Payment processors: Paddle (or other payment services). They receive transaction data required to process purchases and refunds.
- Payout providers: Payoneer (used by us for vendor payouts) — this does not affect your payment card data handled by the payment processor.
- Hosting, analytics and telemetry providers: third-party services that host our servers or help with product analytics and crash reporting.
- Legal and security partners: where necessary to investigate abuse or comply with legal requirements.
We require processors to maintain appropriate security and only process data for specified purposes under contract.
5. Cookies & similar technologies (website)
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to provide basic functionality, remember preferences, and analyze traffic. You can control cookie settings in your browser. Cookies used for strictly necessary functions are required to operate site features (e.g., login sessions).
6. Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described (license enforcement, business operations, legal compliance). For example:
- Activation and purchase records: generally retained for at least the lifetime of the license and up to 7 years for accounting and legal compliance.
- Diagnostic and telemetry data: retained in aggregated or pseudonymized form; retention periods vary but are minimized to what is necessary to improve the product.
- Support correspondence: retained as needed to resolve your request and for quality assurance.
7. International transfers
Your data may be processed or stored in countries other than your own (including Nigeria and other jurisdictions where our processors operate). Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for international transfers in accordance with applicable law.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:
- Access: request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Deletion: request deletion of personal data, subject to legal or contractual retention needs (e.g., accounting records).
- Restriction or objection: ask us to limit processing or object to certain processing activities (for example, profiling for marketing).
- Data portability: request a machine-readable copy of data you provided.
To exercise rights, contact us at support@yourdomain.com. We may require verification before fulfilling requests. If you believe we failed to respect your privacy rights, you may have a right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is perfectly secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affecting personal data occurs, we will follow applicable law and notify affected users and regulators where required.
10. Children
Fluid PC is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy periodically. When we make material changes we will post the new policy on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
